I somewhat agree with you, we should refrain ourselves from discussing gambling with acquaintances or friends. It has a few downsides, first you tell someone about your gambling experience who doesn't have enough money. If you tell him about the big profits from gambling, he may become very interested in gambling, and may gamble even if he borrows money. And if he is somehow defeated, the ill effects will be felt on him and his family.
Secondly, my interactions have exposed me to numerous individuals who swiftly succumbed to the allure of gambling, subsequently relinquishing substantial monetary assets. I won't say gambling is bad, however getting addicted to it is very bad. This is why we should be careful, and not talking about gambling to people who have little money, or who are likely to become addicted to gambling.
Yes , we should be careful because not all people are like us. Also, it is still a stigma that people who gambles are all addict and tend to have a bad life because we are playing gambling, that most common here in asia. Though gambling is created to entertained people still most of the gambling addict here tend to be more likely to be poor because they thought that gambling is the key to be rich instantly.
