Nothing wrong with failure but we must wonder if this person will rather learn from this mistake and stay away from sportbets, specially using money she cannot afford to lose. In many occasions the answer is no. She may not stay away from this or learn something from this, but even try to leverage on her social media, family and friends who wish to support, so can try to chase loses.

It is an never ending path which I wish noone to go through.
Sometimes learning can be easy or hard, but when comes to addiction, it is not about being able to learn but wanting to.
Let's hope she will do the right thing from now on. She has already had a negative experience and can act now conducted by past experience example. Although nobody wants to face negative situations, it's the best way to learn in order to avoid similar situations later. When people tell us we shouldn't do this or that, we tend to ignore what they say, because it doesn't have the same intensity in ourselves than when we go through it.

However, if even though she doesn't learn anything from this, I fear it will have to happen over and over again until she finally understands and accepts the fact same actions don't result in different outcomes...

Sure, sometimes it takes some pain for us in order to learn any meaningful lesson, not o Lt within gambling but in life as a whole.
It may depend on the reaction people have on social media about her sorrow over lost money, if people feel sorry for her and go as far as donating money, I would not be surprised if she got back on track and continued to gamble, on the other hand of people talk frankly to her, then she may realize the mistake she has done and straighten her ways and only risk money she can afford to lose in the future (and won't record her sorrow for anyone on the internet to see, of course).
