Granada started the match well, they played like a team that was trying to put pressure on their opponent who wanted to undermine their dominance. Granada counter-attack scheme was quite effective compared to ball control so they were able to control the game. Granada players were able to take advantage of the space in Barcelona defense, they managed to break into Barcelona goal twice in the first half.
The draw that Barcelona achieved at home to Granada was not due to injuries to many of their mainstay players, but was the result of a lack of discipline at the back in blocking attacks from Granada players.
