In this match, the Barcelona attack was like a bee that can't make honey. They had many goal chances but struggled to score. They conceded 2 early goals and were stressed, they couldn't score 3 goals. In a game like this it might seem good to come back and get 1 point, but Granada are one of the weakest teams in the league, so this is definitely 2 points lost for Barcelona. I think Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid won't lose points against Granada. This means that Barcelona will have to take 3 points from bigger games to make up for this loss. Like winning in El Clasico, they need to win big games without even a draw.
Lamine Yamal's performance is improving day by day. It's important to remember that this boy is still developing, he will score many more goals and assists in the future, this is a start for him. I also want to mention Sergi Roberto, a player who should get more minutes. I don't understand why Xavi isn't making enough use of him this season.
Barca underestimated Granada and that was why the two goals was scored in the first half. Some of Barca key players were not in the match and this made it more difficult for them to play and secure three points. Barca scored a late goal which was suppose to give them a win but it was ruled out because Ferran Torres was on offside. It is better that they could draw the game than losing it. Currently, Real Madrid is three points ahead of Barca and this might be a big point, if Real Madrid fails to lose any match. Barca needs more consistency in their performance.
I will actually say that both of the teams had good chances to actually win this match. One thing I will criticize about Barcelona is the goalkeeping. It was definitely not good from Barcelona. We can say that the defense could have been better in general. But the goalkeeping could have been much better in my opinion. Can anyone tell me why the last goal was disallowed because of offside? Did the player actually touch the ball? I thought he did not.
I thought Barcelona was going to win this match. I will also say that Barcelona should have been able to win this match. if Barcelona cannot make sure that they get three points from these matches, it is going to be hard for them to defend the title successfully.
