The three presidential candidates which are Tinubu (the incumbent president), Atiku which is the second and Peter Obi which is the third that have the highest are all not from South South. I think you are referring to Peter Obi which is from Anambra state. Anambra are Igbos and Igbos are South East, while some of themselves are referring to it as East.
I have posted before that the problem of Nigeria is beyond tribalism. I prefer regional government, but even if there is regional government, there is nothing that can end tribalism. But tribalism is not the cause of what is happening in most Africa countries, there is something that our leaders are not getting rightly. Also that tribalism has nothing to do with corruption and mismanagement.
