Previously the liberals who support this bull crap were not directly impacted by the border crisis. They used to live peacefully in their gated communities in Hollywood, Manhattan and Boston, while the red states such as Texas and Arizona used to bear the burden of illegal crossings. But then Greg Abbott (Texas governor) changed everything overnight. He started bussing these illegals to the very cities where the the liberals live. And almost immediately, there has been a decline in the number of social media posts in favor of the illegals.
