You claim that your country is an underdeveloped country so we can assume that bitcoin is not legal in your country, if bitcoin is not legal then it will be safe for you to pay salary through bitcoin. Just saying from my opinion about bitcoin legality because as you mentioned your country is underdeveloped and as far as I know underdeveloped countries never accept Bitcoin. It is a very good decision if you proceed with caution. Accepting payments through Bitcoin instead of accepting payments in local currency is another level of thinking. If you accept payment through Bitcoin, you can hold that Bitcoin for a long time if you want, and if you want, you can sell your BTC through P2P.  Undoubtedly, you have taken a commendable initiative.
If Bitcoin is not legal in the country that doesn't mean he should not accept Bitcoin as a payment from someone else, this transaction happens between two people and you don't need to speaker and microphone to start telling the world that you accept Bitcoin as means of payment, the problem with the government about Bitcoin can only start if you set up a banner or a signboard with Bitcoin acceptance on it, this will draw attention and it could result in paying fine or even worse depending on the country's law.

Bitcoin was once illegal in my country too and I know that I can only get into a problem with the law if I make my interaction with Bitcoin public, so this person should be fine if they choose to maintain silence and avoid attention.

The only thing that feels off with the OP story is how OP can ask his employer to pay him in Bitcoin because there is no story about how the employer gets the Bitcoin to pay him, how did he know that the employer knows how to buy Bitcoin? Because many people don't even know this.
