How Girona turned to a formidable team still surprises me. One unique thing about them is their resilience,  not minding of they are playing a big side like Barcelona or Real Madrid. I am very convince they will finish the season around the top to securing one of the European competitions.

I knew anything could happen. But I don't feel confident that they can survive for European competition. They are still in a long period. Last season they finished in the top 10 and I was indeed quite surprised. This season indeed they are in good financial shape. They joined the City Football Group led by Sheikh Mansour. They are on a good path, but to get into European level is still quite difficult with the players they have at the moment.
It must be admitted that Girona is indeed very impressive with the minimum player material, but Girona's consistency continues to prove to be only inferior to Real Madrid. Girona also in the early weeks of LaLiga could be said to have only met the big teams Villareal and Sevilla, and even then Sevilla was still not stable. Entering the UCL is indeed a bit difficult with the existing player material, but if you can just qualify for the European zone, it seems like a very good achievement. So, if Girona wants to become a BIG 4 challenger, they have to continue to prove by maintaining concentration and maintaining consistency so that they can truly become a serious challenger.

Yes, Girona shares management and ownership with Manchester City. It's not surprising that it is now starting to become a strong club. In the future, don't be too surprised if they bring in star players.
