Its amazing achievement with Girona as second season in La Liga after promoting last two season and finish on 10th standings placed, have quit well performance in this season with second placed on current La Liga standings with 7 won, 1 draw and 1 loss with two points gap from Real Madrid on current standings placed. Current of 9 matches in La Liga Girona have faced Real Madrid, Sociedad and Sevilla as top La Liga teams with success achievement except have defeated by Real Madrid. For several upcoming matches later seems not bigger opponent teams for Girona and they will comfortable for securing second position standings behind 1 point left from Barcelona who have crucial match against Real Madrid few weeks later.
I believe with Girona consistency in this season and will finish on top fourth standings position of half season.
As I said before, Girona are still quite good statistically but they are not fully believed to be able to compete in the top four throughout this season. The consistency of a team's performance will be greatly disrupted when one or several important players are injured, and usually their performance will decline and it will be difficult to return to normal.
I wouldn't be surprised if Girona could experience consecutive defeats before the first half of this season is over, but so far their performance is still very good with only 1 defeat and 1 draw. Girona could be in the top four for a long time, but they will have to fight hard to continue to maintain their form. This is the most difficult challenge even for Barcelona and Real Madrid, not only Girona.
Game nine and they're currently second place holders sitted on the La Liga table that's incredible for one of the underdogs in La Liga. Like it or not it's got to be a massive feet reached and they would go softly with it.
Staying so long is not something I can predict for Gironaa, bit I would love to see a change. I want to see something else totally mind blowing.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are most likely to win the Spanish League. I'm rooting for Barcelona though today.
