The rest have to go with the traditional way, earning an educational degree and trying to look for the best job for their niche. A lot of people say that degrees don't matter, all you need is knowledge, skills, and experience, I only partly agree with that, because a person who is the sole breadwinner for their family can't just keep trying to get success through their skills and they eventually have to find a way to at least earn some money to survive.
Many job vacancies have academic requirements to be able to apply to government agencies or private/individual job vacancies. The government recruited 100 thousand people for teacher needs from non-permanent teacher status. So without having an academic degree, we have no chance of applying for government job vacancies. However, those who have skills in certain jobs will open a business according to their respective skills, in the technological era it is easier to promote products with one click, the presence of marketplace applications and TikTok shops has greatly supported business people around the world, the level of demand for ordering goods online has increased and even online stores can collect around $100k for one day of ordering goods.

So whether or not you have an academic degree depends on each individual's opinion, there are those who hope to get a job from the government with a guaranteed monthly salary and pension, but those who don't have an academic degree hope to become big entrepreneurs.
