Girona has not met a strong team other than Madrid. So in 9 matches they tried to get points consistently in every match they were able to get. I think that's also a good result, but there's no need to exaggerate Girona's performance to compete for the La Liga trophy.
The season is still long and Girona's struggle will still be very long. I hope they can still be consistent in getting points, even though the competition will be tight, but by them showing the best they have in the team, then that is enough to prove the development of the quality of their game.
Last season Girona where considered a small team, they weren't really a team you would place in the top when in comes to the Spanish La liga ranking so I don't think considering their Caliber you should talk about strong team or weak team.

Any team Girona faces in the Spanish La liga is always going to be a hard game for them but so far they have been able to hold their own and I think they deserve the praises and recognition they are getting although I think as the matches goes on their top player start getting weak and injuries I don't think they would be as hot as they are now that where the quality of depth a team has comes in and Girona doesn't have that.

I would say that losing against Real Madrid is not a big setback for Girona. After all Real Madrid,, without a doubt the best team in the La Liga competition. So losing against them is not a huge, unexpected action for a lot of people. And at the same time, even though they actually lost against Real Madrid, they are still at the top of the table and on the second position.

so I will say that the performance is still good enough for them. They just have to be consistent. And looking at the matches that are coming up, I believe they have the capability to avoid loss. I want to be surprised if they stay on the second position of the table and the point difference between them and Barcelona get bigger.
