At this point , I don't think we can count out Girona from being outside top 6 by the of the season right ? They are having the best season in club history and also a strong squad that can sustain a long season with strong games because everyone will want to beat them , especially the ones behind them like ATL.Madrid, Sociedad , Betis and even Valencia because I all of them are great teams overall with high potential to finish in top 6. 
I just wonder if Girona can continue this their consistent form till the end of the season. Finishing in the top 6 of the league won’t be an easy one for them to undertake looking from the teams that are involved and have potentials to finish in the top 6 also. There is always a first time to something though, it Girona can continue with this form, they will be able to retain that position by end of the season.
If Barcelona keep dropping points against small teams in the league, just as they did against Granada in their last match, they will not stand a chance to compete for the title this season because Real Madrid and Girona are serious, are having a great time, and are consistent, which is what kept them at the top.
Barcelona might have lost some vital points to Girona but they are still in a very much good position to remain and contest for the league title. The points they lost to Granada was unavoidable by them and it happens to any team at anytime. I won’t compare Barcelona to Girona now as a worthy opponent to be scared of but for Real Madrid, they should definitely be at alert. Maybe if Girona will continue this good form, then Girona should be a team to be scared of.
