No matter the weak display of PSG they are still the favorite to win the Ligue 1 title. Monaco and Nice are inconsistent to be projected as potential winners. The season is still fresh to decide who will emerge the champions but it will be good to have another winner after many years of PSG's dominance.
Monaco are better than Nice in terms of squad quality. But there is a very big possibility that Paris Saint-Germain FC will come back to dominate the league again. But Nice coach Francesco Farioli is a very good coach. He can put a great stamp on the French league this season. He has done great things in Turkey. I expect him to achieve similar success in France. Nice will play an important league match against Marseille next week. I think they will have an important test in that match. If they win that game, I think they will be able to push for the league title until the end of the season. But to be honest, I don't think they have a good enough squad to do that.
I think, even though Monaco and Nice are currently in positions 1 and 2 in the Ligue 1 standings, but it still looks like Monaco and Nice cannot be said to be potential winners this season. Because after all, their points gap with PSG in the current Ligue 1 standings is not far, or does not have a wide gap. Therefore, basically PSG still has a chance to improve and overtake Monaco and Nice. Because basically PSG has champion quality, so with a close points gap like this it certainly doesn't make PSG lose its chance of winning the Ligue 1 trophy this season.
