I instead believe that Guardiola will be interested in young players that has long future to spend in the club. I also do not think that Guardiola will allow players like Gundigon and Mahrez to leave the club and in the end bring player as old as Toni Kross to play with him. His experience with Toni in Bayern is old enough to be forgotten and dwell on new people and new challenges.
In the other hand, Toni wanted to end his career in Madrid but was persuaded by Madrid management to help the club to play one more season. I am surprised Toni wants to continue playing. It is good and passionate although
Due to the absence of key players this season, the once-dominant Manchester City has crumbled, and Pep Guardiola will rebuild his club into an alternate configuration. Bringing in Toni Kroos won't help the Citizens; instead, they should look into various ways to sign outstanding players during the upcoming transfer window, which is one of the most effective ways to improve the team's performance. Toni Kroos won't try to leave Los Blancos this season; he wants to reach greater heights with the team that gave him his exceptional performance, accolades, and titles.
You got my point of view clearly but some other persons are insisting that Toni will be a short term solution to supplement the absence of KDB in the team. I don't know how effective this arrangement will be and for people to be suggesting for Citizens to bring a short term solution shows that the Citizens made mistakes in the past transfer window.
If I were the coach, I would not touch the squad that gave me FA cup, EPL and CL the same season. I would just repeat them for the next season. But Guardiola didn't think this way, rather he made some changes and brought in few new blood and it seems that the decision is not favourable to the club at this time. Although the season must started but then City should be city always.
