Furthermore Manchester United board have launched an inquiry as to why so many player’s are getting injured and the most obvious answer is Ten Hag failure to rotate his squad and inability to provide rest to his player’s.
Every football player needs rest after a long time playing without been benched. If they don’t get enough rest, what will follow next is fatigue. When they have fatigue, they don’t need to be tackled too much to get injured in the field of play. This was what happened to Bukayo Saka of Arsenal that have started every match for Arsenal, he needed to be benched in some unimportant matches but the coach didn’t do that which later caused them an injury when they needed him the most to play against Manchester City. If more players are not benched or rotated, more will still go to injury in their first XI squad.
Manchester City's performances haven't been good enough for the team lately since De Bruyne's absence. His contributions helped the team win a lot of games and he provided a lot of assists for Haaland to score, but now that he is out, the team is losing. When Rodri have not received red card, he helped the team win in addition to Kelvin De Bruyne. They continued to succeed even without Kelvin De Bruyne. Strong players like Rodri are what Pep Guardiola needs to buy to replace in for them while they are out, in my opinion, if the team is to keep winning.
Getting a replacement for Rodri won’t be an easy one for Pep Guardiola to come through now. This is not the transfer window and I doubt if they’ll get a good deal in the January transfer window to have an option to play in his place when he’s out injured. When De Bruyne was injured, Manchester was still able to cope and win matches but after Rodri’s red card, they’re was a lot of open space that led them to lose some important games which has caused them to drop down from the table. I think a replacement for De Bruyne; Kovacic is already there but for Rodri they haven’t found any yet which they need to have one as soon as possible when the league is still in his early stage.
