I have been thinking about the drop in Haaland's form recently. First of all it is totally normal for any player of course. I have been just thinking about whether there could be a special reason affecting it as well. De Bruyne's absence came to my mind after that. The reason why is that there was a great relationship between these two players.

De Bruyne was sending a lot of balls to Haaland to make him more active and effective in the attacking line. You know how great De Bruyne can pass the balls to his teammates. He is like a magician. I hope that Haaland can reach his usual level sooner or later. I'm still contented with his goal effort so far of course. But I would like to see him doing good during the full season as well.
Haaland is more of a finisher of a good pass than he is at any other thing else that's why it looks like he's dormant. And his inaction is being noticed especially now as De bruyne is out. Is it safe to call him a flop buy? I feel so because asides from scoring, there's not much Haaland brings to the team. How so? Imagine a game where he's locked by the opponents defense, there's little else Haaland does other than running sluggishly round the field looking for a pass. He doesn't hunt for his goals like Jullian Alvarez or Foden does.
Haaland is a pure poacher where he has good ball control and finishing but on the other hand when he becomes a pure poacher then indirectly this needs someone who can flow the ball for him because Haaland's style is not a type of picking up the ball and dribbling like Mbappe but he prefers to find a good position and wait for the ball to finish with accuracy and good body balance.
When the midfielders can't flow the ball well then this will be a problem for Haaland because he becomes closed and confused when the ball is not flowing well so this has an impact now when Manchester City lost several players like KDB and Rodri he became stuck and had difficulty gaining momentum.
