In this situation the manager still has to be sacked cause they have lost control of the dressing room already. Managers have a role to keep the team playing in synergy and all players playing to their top potential, if they cannot do that, the owners cannot change the entire squad cause of the coach and will opt to change the manager instead and remove one or two problematic players.

A coach who doesn't have a good relationship with his players both in the dressing room and on the field will be fired instead of replacing the entire squad. The coach must have the ability to maintain good relations between players and the team. It will even be better if the coach manages to maintain a good dressing room.
