Somebody correct me if I am wrong. Exodus is a noncustodial wallet, just like trustwallet. The downside is both are closed source. Then how the hell did OP receive an attempted Login "notification?"

The Trust Wallet has push notifications so that they appear at the top of any application you use, and you can disable this option from the settings, but it does not contain a way to send these warnings to your email. I am surprised by its description of restricting login, as the noncustodial wallet cannot
