I also think that Neymar and Messi have done a great job in assisting Mbappe. Messi has done that more than he ever used to do it before. But Mbappe feels like the king and while Messi respected that most of the time even though he knew he himself was the GOAT, Neymar can also have an ego, but I think that's quite normal. Mbappe has to work on himself.
- Mbappe's recent drop in form can be partly attributed to the departures of Messi and Neymar, in my opinion. It might sound strange because Mbappe was the one who played a significant role in their exits. However, it was a mistake made by both him and PSG when they undervalued Neymar and Messi's contributions.
- Messi was responsible for providing 20 assists to PSG last season. He was willing to take a backseat role, playing deeper and creating assists instead of being the primary scorer.
- On the other hand, Neymar, with his exceptional ball-handling skills, always drew at least two defenders towards him. With Neymar and Messi, PSG's style of play became more unpredictable. But now, PSG's competitors only need to focus on containing and neutralizing Mbappe. He's in a situation where he has to shoulder most of the responsibilities, which can be quite overwhelming for him.
