LOL.. What is happening here. Reminds me of the Sri Lanka vs Australia match two days ago. Sri Lanka was at 157/1, but then suddenly collapsed to 209 all out. Here New Zealand was cruising comfortably at 109/1, and now they are at 113/4. Both the set batsmen are now back in pavilion (Will Young and Rachin Ravindra). And ironically it is the seamer Azmatullah Omarzai who did the maximum damage (at this point 1-0-1-2). Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman have also played their part well, by taking one wicket each.
The first innings is near to end almost finished and New Zealand plays just ordinary, this is an important match for Afghanistan, and the team of Afghanistan must win this match to qualify in the top 4. This is the first match of Afghanistan which not been held in Delhi because all previous matches of Afghanistan of this World Cup were held in Delhi and this match was hosted by Chennai. If Afghanistan wins today’s match with a good run rate then maybe Afghanistan will go into the top four, and they take the place of Pakistan.
The weakest team of this World Cup did come back, the Netherlands, Australia, and Afghanistan were at the lowest in the points table in the World Cup but now they are all ranked up. As far as the Sri Lanka team has no chance to win this World Cup, but World Cup matches are left so let’s see.
