Monero use: privacy by default, ring signatures, ring confidential transactions, and stealth addresses. Ring signatures hide the spent outputs to protect a user’s privacy in the input side of a transaction; ring signature transactions, also known as RingCT, hide the amount being sent, and stealth addresses disguise the receiver.
Zcash use: privacy only for shielded addresses, conceal sending and receiving addresses, as well as the amount transacted.
I think Monero is more easy to use and much better, send, receive - no problem. Zcash you can only send, receive to shielded addresses, if you want privacy.
