The two opening pair of Bangladesh started fairly well and their partnership developed well. Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah Riyad pulled the team after the dismissal of Tanjid Shakib and Liton Das. Bangladesh did well against the Indian team. Team captain Shakib Al Hasan could not play due his injury which was already a minus point for Bangladesh team. But the fact that they managed to score a big one without Shakib that is nothing less. The opening partnership was good. The team had a partnership of 117 runs through Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das which is their biggest opening score in this World Cup. But since the partnership broke down, the team became frustrated. They definitely needed more than 300 runs to fight against India but it was difficult and India won very comfortably losing only 3 wickets.
