It was a great game plan by Islam Makhachev, looking for body shots from the start and landed some and when Alexander Volkanovski was expecting another body shot he went high and that caught him flush and made the statement.
Islam knows he cannot easily take Volkanovski to the ground that's why he just works on him with those brutal kicks which surprise him and he doesn't know what to do. He was the best defender to fight Islam so far but the wide gap after Islam improved is just another level and he can keep up anymore that's why he just got another loss from him.
