I myself suck at drawing, painting and craft art. My only hope is that the jury will find my works funny somehow, and that's why I keep participating.

You have the desire to take part in their art contest and you are confident in that, I really appreciate that because it is not easy for other people to increase their confidence in taking part in this art contest, because maybe only people who are talented and good at painting can participate in this event, but if you feel bad at making pictures and painting and then want to become a contest participant, that's already great
I also suck at making drawings and painting so I don't have the confidence to take part in this contest even though when I was little I used to draw a lot but I forgot to build that desire again, the older I get the further away from what I used to do since childhood, don't give up If you don't win, I'm sure one day you will be able to provide a unique work that will make the jury happy with your work. I wish you luck.

I agree, there is a level that needs to be in order to participate for confidence reasons but if you can overcome that and join with even the ugliest stuff maybe that would be even better? I am not entirely sure but that seems like a good idea, at least it feels like a good idea. That could be something that would benefit everyone and could be a good deal one way or another.
I think it is quite important to realize that you are going to end up with something that should not be a big deal, and we could potentially end up with a good result if we know what we are doing as well. Art is subjective and what may look or feel like a terrible piece to you, could be a great something for someone else. Maybe you do not trust yourself and think that you suck at it, but if you joined you could have won? We do not know if that's the case or not, and without putting any of your artwork for some feedback, you are not going to ever know if you are good enough or not.
