PSG was one of the all-time favorites to win the Ligue 1 title but this season I don't want to say anything beforehand because the Ligue 1 title could go beyond PSG this season. If they return to the performance that PSG performed in the beginning, it will be challenging for them to be number one to five in the points table. Closing the gap to 2 points with Monaco is not a difficult task for PSG but whether they can maintain their consistency like this is a big challenge for PSG now. PSG already have no major achievements so if they lose the Ligue 1 title this season they will be heavily criticized as a club. Of course they will have to try to retain the Ligue 1 title this season.
Im quite dissatisfied with PSG's performance this season, to be honest. Without Messi and Neymar, they appear to lack direction. But what is the most striking letdown? The player Mbappe. His thoughts appear to be elsewhere, possibly still dwelling on the prospective transfer to Real Madrid. Why would he remain at PSG if he is so intent on moving? And lets not even discuss the preposterous billion-dollar offer he turned down from the Saudi league. It is evident that he is counting days at PSG. With the upcoming match against Monaco, I fear for PSG's championship prospects. Monaco has demonstrated consistency, whereas PSG, despite its players, is in disarray. Enrique has a daunting assignment, and I feel for him. If they fail to win the Ligue 1 championship, I anticipate significant criticism and potential club reorganisation. They must merely perform better.
