If you check last season table you'll see that PSG almost lost the league to Lens, they only gapped Lens with just a point to unlike the other season when they used to win the league and top other clubs with many points,however If PSG doesn't start being consistent with their wining then we could see same thing repeating itself but this time they might not be lucky to win with a point but could lose the league like they did in the 2020-21 season when they lost the league to Lille who gapped them with just a point.
Last season's competition was against Lens but this season, their are two teams that could make winning the league tough for PSG, which are Monaco and Nice, there performance this season is very brilliant and they're in the 1st and 2nd position respectively.
Last season was quite worrying for PSG because Lens was able to match PSG during that season and even though in the end PSG still won the Ligue 1 title, sometimes with a small point difference it could be a disaster for them. Monaco and Nice are old faces in Ligue 1 but no one expected their consistency this season and I was quite surprised because both of them have been able to appear consistently so far.
On the other hand, PSG lost momentum at the start of the season and they had to struggle again to get back to where they should be. Maybe we will see new competition in the future and it would certainly be very exciting if PSG had another competitor. The reason is that it would be very boring if Ligue 1 was always dominated by PSG for the whole season.
