Yes, as long as you are still in proper control and consider it as entertainment there will be no limits for you to gamble even when you are old, because everyone has their own life choices even though I also think the same as you, I might be different and maybe I will stop when starting to have grandchildren or looking old, because it is better to find entertainment and pleasure by playing with grandchildren and family than gambling.

I think gambling until we are old will not make us continue to feel happy, instead we will feel bored with boring games because we are used to gambling that is played for too long, obviously it will make us feel bored even though it is still just entertainment, at least limit the time when we have to stop gambling. So being able to enjoy old age with your family is very important. because entertainment is not always through gambling.
