The bitcoin.it domain is owned by the forum, but it's always had a totally independent admin team. I've never been an admin there, nor appointed any admin. However, nowadays it seems mostly abandoned, with only 5 edits in the last 30 days (about half of which look like spam); I've been thinking for a few years that I should appoint some new admins or something, or maybe just shut it down and set up a redirect to bitcoinwiki.org.
@theymos in my opinion, I think you should keep bitcoin.it. I think the site already has a very relevant influence on the Bitcoin community around the world, and is one of the main sites that maintain reliable information about Bitcoin for over 10 years.
I remember how useful this site was when I got into bitcoin. It helped me mine, set up a wallet, make transactions and many other useful things at the time.
I believe that perhaps it can be improved, but not discarded. Everyone here in the community can help keep the project alive.
