Hope coins.game can do something better for the drawing especially when it comes to a big reward like the iPhone.

None of contest participants can manipulate Bitcoin block hash to win a raffle and it is secured enough to say no manipulation can be used with on chain raffle. The rest is some criteria in the contest like how many applications one participant is allowed to make and rules like "First comes, first serves", "No duplicate entries will be accepted"...
I would say the best way to have a fair draw is to use the blockchain hash draw, as there is no chance of any manipulation or cheating. If you say that you will give an iPhone, and you manually select the winner or have an offline draw which has no transparency then people will only believe that you are either giving the prizes to your internal employees or maybe announcing the winners as dummy users which do not exist in reality.
That is the reason that coins.game needs to improve on the credibility and transparency of their giveaway draws. Even public voting is acceptable but not that you select the winners offline.
