Manchester United has suffered 8 defeats from 15 matches this season, whereas during the Jose Mourinho era he was sacked after experiencing 6 defeats from 17 matches, I can't understand why Manchester United's management is defending Ten Hag too much, even though it is clear that he has failed.
I think this is because United is also having difficulty finding a new coach. Or it could also be to give Ten Hag the opportunity for a season or two to improve the team's performance. I think in the Mourinho era United was a strong team so a few defeats could make a coach get fired. But now what can United expect from sacking Ten Hag? I think this is a wise decision made by Manchester United management because currently their focus is on improving performance and it takes a long time to do so.
Manchester United have experienced a bad run of results under Ten Hag than Mourinho. Ten Hag has now overseen Manchester United's worst start to a season since the 1962-63 campaign and the club have lost five of their first 10 home games at Old Trafford for the first time since 1930-31. This Manchester United poor form has put mounted pressure on Ten Hag. As a result of the defeat against Newcastle on Wednesday, the odds of Ten Hag being the next manager in the Premier League to lose his job have been slashed. I feel that injury might be an excuse for the poor form and also he gave the club a trophy last season, so I understand why the club Hierarchy aren’t in a rush to sack him. They might be giving him time to redeem himself and if he fails to do so, then they’ll be forced to hire a new manager.
