Played very well in bowling and batting.
Congratulations To Afghanistan well played Afghanistan overtakes Pakistan on the points table to secure No. 5 position. Afghanistan has done in this World Cup 3rd for them, most won in an edition is 4. what Bangladesh has not been able to do in their history of 7 World Cups. Mohammad Nabi was named the player of the match for his exceptional spell against the Netherlands in Lucknow. He took 3 important wicktes 3/28 in his bowling spell. Afghanistan play best cricket till now if they win next 2 matches they will qualify easily.
Congratulations to Afghanistan for playing very well. I was very much surprised the first innings of the Netherlands in today's match was quite embarrassing as they lost four wickets only because of run outs. I don't know if there is any such history in cricket world. Also, I have seen everyone else from the 5th wicket have done poorly. However, van der Merwe and Aryan Dutt played well in their positions. We have seen them beat a strong team South Africa in this tournament so we can say that they are not too bad but today's match showed their immaturity.
Netherlands lost today's match because of their stupid batting. Top order batsmen do not get out by performing poorly. Four of the first 5 batsmen were run out. In such an important match, the Netherlands batsmen should have batted responsibly. But they played like fools. Had it not been for these four run outs, the Netherlands could easily have given away a target of 260+ today. And if Netherlands could have given a target of more than 260 on this pitch, they might have won the match. Giving a target of just 180 runs was impossible to win. Afghanistan batsmen batted very responsibly today. The team has won four out of seven matches and is now fifth in the points table.
