That casinos are the ones who make money in gambling is already an established fact, for me personally though, aside the fact that when a gambler wins, the casino possibly loses, and when a gamblers loses, casino possibly wins, aside this fact, I would say that casinos are gambling, but that they are running a business, which is what it actually is.

Any every business, profit is always the number one and major priority, so there is no way we can compare gamblers and casinos in terms of making money, for we all know that casinos make the most since it is business for them.

This is why I always advice players never to play to the extend of getting addicted, gambling is not a business that we should ever make it a source of income, gamble and enjoy the pleasure that comes with it, and we all should make sure we are not gambling more than we can afford to lose.
