Is it the game you started playing as a gambler that you still play till now? Is there any gambler in this place who was used to playing a particular game before but never was successful winning or did not win enough and then made up their mind that it was time for a change in the game you gamble on. Which game did you change from, and what did you change to? how long did you play the game that you are deciding to stop playing because of the bad outcomes?

I started gambling with sport betting and till today that is still what I do. Although I have a lot of stories to tell in my gambling experience both good and bad especially when I'm not highly good with my sport predictions. I have gotten numerous wins and losses but this never made me give up on it.
I would suppose this is the story of most gamblers as being able to beat the house is something only the professionals can do, while the stories of people being addicted, while more common are also rare as the majority of the gamblers out there understand this is simply a game and nothing more.

In my case I can pretty much say the same as you, with the only difference I started my gambling journey by playing poker, but eventually my interest for sport bets increased to a point in which I have not played poker for quite some time.
The majority of gamblers are aware that overcoming the house presents a difficulty that only a select few can really overcome. Even while reports of addiction are increasing, they are still uncommon because most gamblers realize that this is only a game.

Your transition from poker to sports betting is fascinating. As you are aware, poker is a combination of psychology, talent, and strategy, whereas sports betting necessitates a deep comprehension of chances and probabilities. While they both involve gambling, the ways in which they occupy the mind are distinct. How your interest changed is amazing, really fascinating. It's imperative, absolutely imperative, to approach gambling knowing exactly what risks are involved and to always, always engage in responsible gambling. It's admirable how self-aware you are and how well you comprehend the nature of gambling.

You could eventually make out that instant switch up on the  time that you do make out those kind of decisions in between pure luck based games in comparing into those games on which you could really be able to apply some strategy or something that you could really be able to apply your own experience and skills into it on which it would really be adding up the odds or chances for you to win up the game against other players or simply on the team that you are really that betting into. Somewhat we shouldnt really be forgeting about the risks involved with gambling on which it is really that something on default. Changing up games
will really be also be depending on the mood that you do have on which if do find yourself get bored on luck based then you could easily make out some switch into strategic which you could really be able to do such thing as much as you want. There are really just those moments on which being that impulsive do really kicks in.

In my case, then i do easily make out those kind of switches whenever i do get bored or already that had done enough or had completely bust up my balance on that session.
Important thing is that you do really know on when to stop and when to proceed according into your  mood or preference.
