People have lost a lot of money in gambling just because they were trying to win back the amount they lost. If you are trying to make up for your loss, then you are likely going to lose more. Some people end up being addicted to gambling because they are trying to recover their losses.

It is not a given that those attempting to recover their losses would likewise be successful just because the OP pursued his loss and was able to do so with a small profit. Many people who attempt to recover their losses actually end up losing more money. Simply quit gambling and take a break if you are losing. You may try gambling again another day and eventually you will be able to win back your loss, so don't strive to get it back fast.
