Mikel Arteta was very upset after Newcastle scored a goal against Arsenal tonight: “Because it’s not a goal, not at all!”.
The referees are having too much influence on the results, and it's completely unnecessary. The Premier League is starting to become something else. In that match, the ball had already gone, and it was even a foul on Gabriel. To be honest, English referees are among the least competent officials.
For people that claim to be the best league in Europe and the world this is becoming very common. VAR was introduced to curb situations like this. It is never fair to lose points like this. Football has evolved so much that things like this shouldn't be happening in top level but unfortunately, it's still happens.
What's more secret is the frequency with which it happens?
Every week in the epl there must be two or three very bad calls that should be obvious to see without the VAR but it's so sad that even with the VAR they still make the wrong decision.
Another bad thing about the league is that if managers or players speak against these things they will be fined by the FA. This is very poor from the league management.
I don't see any irregularities, and or any mistakes that happened for the goal that Newcastle managed to make in the match. So, if Arsenal can't accept the goal, then Arsenal can't accept defeat because after all, the result is a result that has happened and the fact is Arsenal lost. That way, Newcastle managed to give Arsenal their first losing result this season. Also of course, these results at least show, that to be consistent with the winning streak is not easy and again Arsenal experienced this.
