alt-coins are NOT important at all.
what does society gain by having 40,000 alt-projects?
maybe 2 or 3 of them are at half capacity in terms of transactions/second but no where near 100% capacity.
any unique use cases that no other alt project can duplicate?
besides, this doesn't have a long-term feel by not having either AUX-POW or PoW+PoS moving the chain.
