I understand what you are saying - that if they do recover the funds, they will keep all of it.

But I wonder how they recover the funds? Chase Bank wouldn't give me the identity of the account holder to whom the money was transferred.

I've been told that most scammers immediately withdraw the money into another account. Therefore even if Chase Bank tried to recover the funds, there is none there.
