In my opinion, Dortmund and Newcastle, who are competing for second place, are still wide open. I know that Newcastle is currently much more stable and very superior, but I still have a little hope that in the 2nd leg against PSG it will be quite fierce compared to Dortmund's match against AC Milan.
Dortmund and Newcastle will meet again in the second leg, this time the match will take place at Dortmund headquarters. The first meeting held at Newcastle headquarters ended in Dortmund favor, this victory reopened Dortmund hopes of finishing in second place. This match is very decisive for both teams, Dortmund, who acts as host, will play optimally to dominate Newcastle.

Dortmund started this match in a less than happy mood because they had just been humiliated by Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, while Newcastle were high in confidence after successfully beating one of the strongest teams in the Premier League. PSG, Dortmund, Newcastle and AC Milan still have a chance of qualifying for the round of 16, they have to beat each other to survive in the UCL.

It is quite possible that the match with Newcastle was a priority for Dortmund and therefore less effort was directed towards the match with Bayern. After the first half, Dortmund wins 1:0, apparently this is not an easy opponent for Newcastle, and by the way, Newcastle plays differently away, and Dortmund looks much better at home.

It’s quite unexpected to see that Shakhtar beat Barcelona after the first half and the statistics are also quite unexpected: Barcelona only have 2 shots in Shakhtar’s turns, is this an underestimation of the opponent?
