Chelsea are in a long crisis that lasts since the past season and they are trying to end their crisis. They bought many young star players and I believe it is their plan very long term growth of the club. They want to build up a competitive squad for their club in next several seasons. A biggest problem in Chelsea latest season is they don't have stability for their coach position that causes of lot of chaos in the club.
Chelsea took a big risk by selling many of its experienced players and replacing them with new, relatively younger players. The team's performance is unstable because most of the players still need to adapt and connect well with their teammates. Pocettino must build his squad from small things such as good relationships in the dressing room and also during training sessions, with him Chelsea will have a more solid team because all the players understand each other.
Such a major overhaul is risky, but Chelsea have made good strides following the arrival of Pochettino as coach. In the last few matches, Chelsea has started to get better performances by winning matches. It is a good start to expect them to be competitive again, but this season they will not be expected to compete in the top 4.
Nkunku and Jackson looks to be promising players for Chelsea next two or three seasons but they must help the club to end the crisis in this season. It will be better for Chelsea to start a next season with better sentiment, less stress and pressure.
Nkunku is good, but I'm not sure Jackson will be better. Jackson scored a hat trick in the match against Tottenham, but it was an easy goal for him. I don't see much potential from Jackson, he will probably be replaced by another influential center forward.
