This is going to be the official entrance of the Swiss Franc into the real of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) which is more convenient for the many and the government to track on everything. Many central banks saw this opportunity so they are catching up. They want something like Bitcoin and yet they know it must still be under their control...as if hitting two birds with one stone. Now, as to the kind of financial future this trend portends I am leaving it here...whether it would be good or bad for the people in the long run.
