One tip that I found about years ago in this forum and will continue to stand behind is the loss-win limit. Back when I haven't set limits upon myself I always notice that I gamble on a net loss. Either I blow off everything that I've won in the next few games and leave the session with an empty bankroll, or I lose altogether without winning. Since then, I saw someone preaching about setting winning and losing limits when you gamble, I chose 3 wins 3 losses, and everytime I reach either of these parameters I automatically quit for the day. Since then I've been gambling on a net positive, all the wins that I have made are kept and saved, and I don't fall off the deep end when I lose since I always could just try again tomorrow, given the fact that my bankroll's not toast anymore everytime I gamble.
