Basically, it's hard to quit if their little heart still wants to gamble like you said and I agree with your assumption. I think they only have a chance to stop if they experience things that can make them really bad, such as losing a very large amount or in terms of their family falling apart due to economic factors that are destroyed due to gambling, in conditions like that, usually they in my opinion will really be able to think to be more aware or at least reduce their gambling activities.
That's probably the worst scenario a gambler would experience, it's not necessary to reach at that level as that's learning a lesson a hard way.

Chasing our losses is already an evidence that you are an irresponsible gambler, and if you can't change your attitude towards gambling, your journey will end sooner than you think. some people thought gambling is fun, but the moment they'll start chasing, they'll experience the biggest heart break in their life as it's not only about money but that kind of expereince will hunt them longer.

Yes of course if someone has entered the phase of a scenario like this honestly I'm not sure they will be able to survive in such a condition. Well that's right, it's actually quite easy for us to find out whether the person is addicted or not, we can see from the way he gambles and from his expression when he loses, because of course as you said that if he brings a way of always chasing defeat then it is clear to conclude that he came to make money and also by putting a lot of hope in victory which is basically always not in their favor. So with that alone it can actually be known whether the person is addicted or not. That's why I always recommend, especially to the people closest to you, that you gamble properly, don't put any expectations because indirectly it's like you're creating your own opportunities for greater disappointment because the final result is always unpredictable and usually worse than you thought.

Of course, after all gambling is only an activity for entertainment, always nothing more than that, and as a result for people who carry the wrong mindset, it is clear that they will suffer a lot of adversity there. So the point is please be more rational in looking at things so that you don't fall into the trap.

If that's what you think that it's only for entertainment then you're safe because no one would chase his losses if we he just having fun and understand that losing is also a big part of gambling.

Once a gambler gets more ambitous and believe they can be successful in winning big money, that's when the struggle starts.

It's true, there is absolutely no prohibition for anyone to gamble but on condition that they must already understand about everything that might happen there, especially the risk of losing which is very likely, if you are gambling just for fun, it doesn't matter and even so in my opinion you still have to set up some limits because gambling is always prone to overdoing it and therefore at least you have to set up some limits as one of the precautions so that you don't overdo it, In the event that you're not sure what you're getting yourself into, you'll be able to take a look at a few of the best ways to make sure that you're getting your money's worth, and that you're getting your money's worth.
