New Zealand won the first few matches by big margins. And despite losing four matches in a row, we saw good performances from almost every New Zealand batsman. What do you expect from Sri Lanka. In another 5 years or so, it will be really difficult for Sri Lanka to justify their full member status. After the retirement of their star players such as Dilshan and Malinga, Sri Lanka has been on a downward spiral. Even Angelo Mathews is nearing retirement. There are some promising players such as Hasaranga, Pathirana and Theekshana still representing Sri Lanka, but they have been very inconsistent. Hard luck for Pakistan. They wanted Sri Lanka to win, but that never happened.
