My own opinion to this I will say this is not unusual for cryptocurrency. The price goes up and down for pass history Bitcoin price fall and raise dropping at 50% . However It's important to know that the long term outlook for Bitcoin is still positive, with many prediction it will continue to increase in Time.
The past history, you are talking about last year because bitcoin all time high from exchange was around $58k and now we are down to $37k where it is currently trading on exchanges but there is more you need to know. Bitcoin price was not listed on exchange at $58k, it was around some scent to a bitcoin I understand, now imagine you have like $50 dollar worth bitcoin since that year and hold it to now. What you should even be comparing is what $50 dollar can buy 10 years ago and what it can buy now, but if you have bought that amount of bitcoin 10 years ago, you will worth a millionaire, you didn't just beat inflation, you beat poverty as well.
Hmm, a really interesting fact you actually stated here, but who would have known that Bitcoin would blow so quickly I can guess even the early adoption didn't actually hold their coins that long although I get the fact this is simply an illustration. But you are right though because with all the recent happening with Bitcoin we should have built alot of confidence on it by now because the volatility itself is the main reason and chance given to people that have actually missed the past opportunity to buy when the price was freaking low. Let's take another good illustration, imagine buying 1k$ worth of Bitcoin as of late last year when the price was still low in the bear season around 19k and holding it now that the price is getting to 38k$ , you would have been getting close to doubling of your actual capital used for buying and it's also a good gain if you ask me don't you think and this is just the beginning of the price going up, because we might even get to 50k$ who knows? Nothing is impossible with the price movement of Bitcoin.
