I will love to quit gambling when I am 42yrs because I don't want to give gambling much time and I will prefer to look for an alternative means to have fun.
We have a saying never say never, a gambler is always a gambler, and gambling has a lot of attractions that always tempt gamblers to come again and again so I would not set a date or age when I will stop gambling, because the future has no guarantee for all we know you could stop anytime or you can go on gambling in very old age, responsible gamblers find enjoyment in gambling and even those once chronic gamblers find themselves coming back to gambler again and again and even if we have alternative ways to gamble, gambling has something very different to offer to us.
That saying is right, only if applied on the good things. Gambling by default isn't bad but there are people who can do it inappropriately. If they do, do you think it's good to see them continue like that? They will only deteriorate. Future is unpredictable. Anytime we can disappear, so it's also not bad to try other things that you haven't done yet and if possible, drop gambling for while. Of course, those must be good things only and you must still do them with caution.
There are alternative ways now to gamble, like the online casinos. They are not very far from the physical ones. If we compare gambling to other things, I think there are still things out there that can be a good alternative to it.
