Not enough here in the Philippines, the cost of living here in very high as well but then the daily minimum wage is very low. And as Asian countries, our staple food is rice, and now that it also sky rocketed, even onions here was once like more than the price of gasoline because of some malpractice and corruption as there is also a cartel.
So very hard to have that kind of budget here, it's just 2 days budget for my family for food alone. Prices of basic commodities as well is very high like internet, house rent (although I don't pay rent), water and electricity. So everything is f**k up now. If you just rely on your regular 9-5 jobs and doesn't hassle, I don't think that you can survived here or in any other parts of the globe wherein the price of the basic necessities is going up.
This is the hard situation in our country, the minimum wage is around $11 while the cost of our staple food which is rice is about $1 per kilo. However, for some markets, it's going down because there is more supply that's coming into the market. But can you imagine that it's just for the rice, you already have 10% of your daily minimum wage. Reduce the cost coming from transportation and we can't just eat with rice alone, there's also the water, the shelter and let alone you're renting because you come from a province and work in the metro. If we're going to look at the whole situation, it's really tough and one source of income isn't enough. Man, I am supporting whoever is in the administration and as much as I don't want to complain but, it seems that the government is all for the show.

True mate, it's really getting harder in our country, known a lot of people barely surviving in the current situation that we have right now. Remember the onion price? Lol, it also skyrocket because of some manipulation by some groups or cartel.
Now it's rice, our staple food, just imagine that it's more than $1 per kilo. So regardless of who is going to be the sitting President of the Philippines, we will experience this kind of issue. But when they are campaigning, you will hear a lot of promises, oh well they are all broken right now. And then they have the nerve to make a lot of noises of this so called Team Unity.
Yeah, that's crazy with the onion cartel, and don't forget about the chili as well. All of these can be done actions if the government is serious about terminating all of those who are causing the high prices. Well, about these campaigns and politics, we always get the same promises as what they're trying to say. All of those are promises and maybe a few of them get really kept and made. I understand what you feel mate because we're on the same page and having the same thoughts with all of these circus' that's always played in front of us.
Anyhow, let's go back on the topic and sorry for the rant. Obviously, our regular jobs is not enough and we need to fine another ways to have another sources of income this day not just in my country as the price of everything is increasing.
Yeah, one won't be enough so get at least one full time and one part time or any other extra source of income or business. If you're married, it's not enough that only a man should work but if he gets a high paying job, you'll live like a king in here. But also depending on the area.
