Rudi Garcia has been sacked, they called back Mazzarri after 10 years.
Conte is rumored to have refused them, twice.
Well, it was the right decision to fire Rudi Garcia but isn't there another better option for Napoli's new coach? considering that they really need a coach who is very experienced in winning titles to get through this season. Walter Mazzarri was their previous coach and now he has returned after more than 10 years and I think this is an immature decision from Napoli. The last time Walter Mazzarri coached Cagliari was in the 21/22 season and there is no other good record apart from having coached Inter in the 13/14 season. I feel that Napoli will not be able to find their goal this season and they are unlikely to be able to survive the Scudetto competition.
Wow. So quickly and decisively, But is it the right choice? In June this year, Luciano Spallettti parted ways with Napoli. A breakup leaves many regrets because they are at the peak of fame. Currently, Garcia and his students are ranked 4th in Serie A with 21 points after 12 matches, 10 points behind leading team Inter. A difficult person like Aurelio De Laurentiis cannot accept this. He then decided to fire Rudi Garcia as head coach. And Welcome back, Mazzarri, but Mazzarri will be the temporary replacement before Napoli finds a more suitable coach next season. Even though he is only temporary, the question is whether Mazzarri has enough courage to withstand pressure from President De Laurentiis. De Laurentiis' hot-tempered nature always makes unexpected dismissal decisions.
I would say it was the right decision not just because of the results but because he had a clash with the team, the chemistry was just not there and when that is the situation you can fire even the first place teams manager. I mean we should also look at the fact that they fired the manager that won them the title, so not like it would be based on success for them, it has to be a bit about the owner as well I suppose, he has to like the manager and if the manager is not following his orders then even wins do not save their seat.
I think Mazzari will not be permeant deal though, I think they are going to get someone else and hired him for temporarily checking the team, by this summer I think they will find someone else and hire that person for next year, but it is November, most of the managers are already at a team, and there are very few people who could take over and still be good, which is why they probably got the best they could get at the moment.
