When Zidane coached Madrid he was at the right time with a star-studded composition of players. So the challenge now is definitely different where Zidane is required to manage young seeds.
I do not like this comment about Zidane coaching abilities; i find it condescending on the intelligent young coach who 3 peated and conquered Europe excellently! Zidane did not "just met a star studded composition of players", Zidane brought out in the best in every footballer in Real Madrid during his time such that Ascensio, Isco and alot of others balled effortlessly when he was the gaffer in charge.
Zidane made sure everyone felt loved; such that the second goalkeeper (Kiko Casilla) back then played a whooping 25 games in a season as a back up goal keeper. Such togetherness and tactical excellence is core reason why Zidane excelled as Real Madrid manager. Nobody in world football 3 peats the champions league on "luck"
You can only recall and remember how he won the Champions League but can't remember that he fumbled as a coach especially during La Liga games. He was also under pressure that season, he got to save his season with the win he had from the Champions League. Immediately they won that Champions League trophy, he resigned.
He's done his part for Real Madrid and will forever be remembered for his hat trick of Champions League won for the club. There was togetherness no doubts but it was a huge pleasure to work with all of that qualities Real Madrid had then!
