At the moment both CLI and GUI wallets works well. But the wallets are full nodes, so you need to sync the blockchain before you can start using it.

From pure speculative point of view, seed investors bought 4.11M coins for $5.3M, that's $1.28 per coin. Horowitz and Sequoia bought 6.17M coins for $27.6M, that's $4.47. And current price is around $1.33. So, this is rather rare opportunity to buy the coins cheaper than Horowitz and Sequoia. Anything less than $5 looks like a great price to invest.
