This is very bad news for Xavi, his players have been in the treatment room one after another this season. If Gavi has to be sidelined until the end of the season then there is no other choice for Barcelona management other than recruiting new players in the transfer market next January, or re-trusting La Masia academy players to be included in the first team. Because we know that Barcelona is experiencing a financial crisis, or the way it is usually done with loan scenarios, I don't know exactly whether they still have this quota.
Gavi has finished his season, I mean he won't be available until the end of the season because of the injury he suffered. Unfortunately he ended the season too soon and the serious injury he picked up may mean he is out of form when he returns. Obviously it is a huge loss for Barcelona, Spain and the player, but injuries are something that cannot be completely avoided in this physical game.
Xavi needs to get another player who can occupy Gavi's position in the Barcelona squad. Fermin Lopez is the most likely and he will get more chances to prove his worth. Fatigue due to the large number of matches scheduled makes several players vulnerable to injury, but this problem does not only affect Barcelona but many other teams also suffer from it including Real Madrid.
